One of our favorite local pizza places is Jimmy’s Pizza Cafe. They have amazing New York style pizzas and our favorite is their Bianca. When I was making pizzas for the blog, I knew that I wanted this to be one of my new recipes! You can’t get any better than gooey melted cheese, rich garlicky ricotta, and fresh oven-baked crust. It is to die for! As you already know, homemade pizza night is one of my favorite quarantine dinners. I think it is time for you to have your own homemade pizza night!

  • 1 ⅓ cups water heated to 90 degrees fahrenheit
  • ¼ cup olive oil extra virgin
  • 1 ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 ½ cups bread flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 teaspoons bread machine yeast

  • cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 6 leaves fresh basil
  • 2 tbsp pecorino romano cheese, freshly shredded
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • Mix dough ingredients until blended. Let dough rise in pan or bowl for 90 minutes, preferably near a heat source or in a bread machine.

  • Flour pizza stone and transfer rolled out pizza dough to stone.
  • Combine ricotta cheese, garlic, crushed red pepper flakes, and salt. Mix well and set aside.
  • Sprinkle dough with mozzarella cheese. Top with dollops of ricotta cheese mixture, basil leaves, and pecorino romano cheese. Drizzle olive oil over the top of the pizza.
  • Bake on center rack for 20-25 minutes until crust is crispy and cheese is melted.
  • Remove from oven. Serve hot and enjoy!
